- This research aimed to know the significant effect of Discovery Learning Model toward the result of cognitive learning. The population of this research was all students of grade 10th of SMA Negeri 1 Merapi Timur in even semester of 2014/2015 that consisted of 4 classes. The sample of this research was determined by random sampling technique. This research used one group pretest posttest design. The result of data analysis showed that Discovery Learning Model has significant effect toward the result of cognitif learning and at the significant level is 0,71 with the effect of high interpretation.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh signifikan Model Discovery Learning terhadap hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Merapi Timur Semester Genap 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari empat kelas. Sampel ditentukan dengan teknik Random Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest posttest design. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Model Discovery Learning berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar kognitif dan taraf pengaruh signifikan sebesar 0,71 dengan interpretasi berpengaruh kuat.Kata kunci: discovery learning, hasil belajar kognitif, model pembelajaran
