- The purpose of this research is to know whether there is an Influence or not of Reward Method and Punishment on student history learning motivation. Samples were XI.4 IPS class as an experiment class and XI.2 IPS class as control class from XI IPS class as a population. The method used experimental research method with Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Data collection technique was using Questionnaire. The data that has been collected then analyzed manually used the Theta formula. The result of data analysis showed that there is an increasing in students' learning motivation after using Reward and Punishment method.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak ada pengaruh Metode Reward dan Punishment terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Sampel yang digunakan yaitu kelas XI.4 IPS sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI.2 IPS sebagai kelas kontrol dari kelas XI IPS sebagai populasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen dengan desain Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Angket. Data yang telah terkumpul selanjutnya diolah secara manual menggunakan rumus Theta. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan motivasi belajar sejarah siswa setelah menggunakan metode reward and punishment.Kata kunci: metode, motivasi belajar, pengaruh, reward and punishment
