- The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of mnemonic model toward student’s social cognitive learning outcomes class VIII. The methodology which used in this research was true experimental design with posttest-only control design. Based on data analysis can be concluded that tcalculated= 7.259> ttable = 2.65, so H0is rejected. The result of data analysis shows that there was influence of mnemonic model towards student’s IPS cognitive learning outcomes class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Katibung.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh Model Mnemonik terhadap hasil belajar kognitif IPS siswa kelas VIII. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental design dengan menggunakan tipe posttest-only control design. Berdasarkan analisis data dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa thitung = 7,259 > ttabel = 2,65, sehingga H0 ditolak. Jadi hasil analisis data secara kuantitatif Model Mnemonik berpengaruh terhadap hasil kognitif siswa pada jenjang pengetahuan IPS siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Katibung.Kata kunci: hasil belajar kognitif, ips, model mnemonik
