PENINGKATAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PENEMUAN TERBIMBING PADA MATERI KALOR DAN PERPINDAHANNYA

- Abstrak Salah satu dari komponen keterampilan abad 21 yang seharusnya dilatihkan kepada siswa adalah keterampilan berpikir kritis. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan pembelajaran penemuan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra eksperimental dengan desain one group pre-test post-test design. Kelas 7B SMP Negeri 1 Krian adalah sampel yang dipakai dalam penelitian. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji normalitas chi kuadrat diperoleh nilai = 2,1366 dan = 11,1, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa sampel yang digunakan berdistribusi normal. Berdasarkan hasil uji N gain ternomalisasi diperoleh rata-rata skor sebesar 0,6 dengan kriteria sedang. Uji t dilakukan untuk menentukan apakah keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat secara signifikan atau tidak. Hasil perhitungan uji t yaitu thitung (14,52) > ttabel (2,02) dengan α = 0,05, sehingga dapat dikatakan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa meningkat secara signifikan. Kata kunci : keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing Abstract One of the 21st century skills components which is needed to train to students is Critical thinking skills. This research aims to describe the increasing of students’ critical thinking skills after guided discovery learning model is applied. The type of this research is pre-experimental with one group pre test-post test design. The samples are used in this research are students of class 7B SMP Negeri 1 Krian. The results of the chi square test for normality show that X2 count equal to 2.1366 and X 2 tables is 11.1, it means that the sample distribute normally. N-Gain test showes an increasing in the average score of 0.6 (medium criteria). The results of t-test calculation is t count (14.52)> t table (2.02) with a significance level 95% (α = 0.05), it indicates that students’ critical thinking skills increase significantly. keywords : critical thinking skills, guided discovery.
