- Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan LKS berorientasi Learning Cycle 5E untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains secara teoritis dan empiris. Kelayakan LKS berorientasi Learning Cycle 5E secara teoritis ditinjau dari hasil validasi, dan secara empiris ditinjau dari hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan tahapan Learning Cycle 5E, hasil belajar keterampilan proses sains siswa dan dari respons siswa. Lembar kegiatan siswa berorientasi Learning Cycle 5E merupakan LKS praktikum yang berisi petunjuk atau panduan belajar siswa yang kegiatan belajarnya disusun berdasarkan lima tahap Learning Cycle 5E yaitu tahap Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration dan Evaluation, petunjuk praktikum yang dibuat adalah percobaan sachs dan Ingenhousz materi fotosintesis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model 4D (Four-D). Penelitian dilakukan selama bulan Januari sampai April 2015 di FMIPA Universitas Negeri Surabaya, selanjutnya dilakukan ujicoba terbatas di SMP Negeri 1 Lamongan pada bulan Mei 2015. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase kelayakan LKS berorientasi Learning Cycle 5E berdasarkan aspek validitas dinyatakan layak secara teoritis dengan rata-rata sebesar 95,7% dengan interpretasi sangat layak; kelayakan secara empiris ditinjau dari hasil pengamatan keterlaksanaan tahapan Learning Cycle 5E rata-rata sebesar 94,5% dengan interpretasi sangat baik. Ditinjau dari hasil belajar keterampilan proses sains siswa dinyatakan layak secara empiris dengan hasil peningkatan N-Gain rata-rata semua aspek sebesar 0,62 dengan kategori sedang. dan respons sebesar 93,5% dengan kriteria interpretasi sangat layak. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKS berorientasi Learning Cycle 5E layak untuk melatihkan keterampilan proses sains merumuskan masalah, membuat hipotesis, mengidentifikasi variabel, mengamati, berkomunikasi dan menyimpulkan data. Abstract This research aimed to describe the proper of Student Worksheet oriented Learning Cycle 5E to train science process skills in theoretically and empirically. The properness of Student Worksheet oriented Learning Cycle 5E theoretically based on validity, and the empirically observed from accomplished of Learning Cycle 5E step, learning achievement of science process skills and student response. Student Worksheet oriented Learning Cycle 5E is a practical worksheets containing instructions to guide student learning learning activities is based on five step of Learning Cycle; Engagement, Exploration, Explanation, Elaboration and Evaluation. Practical guide is Ingenhousz experiment and Sachs experiment in photosynthetic material. Reasearch method used in this experiment was research and development with 4D model (Four-D). Reasearch was conducted during January to April 2015 at Mathematics and Science Faculty in StateUniversity of Surabaya, then trial limited in SMP Negeri 1 Lamongan in May 2015. Results of this reasearch showed the properness percentage of Student Worksheet oriented Learning Cycle 5E stated proper theoretically based on validity aspect the average of 95.7% with interpretation was very proper; proper empirically observed from accomplished of Learning Cycle 5E step the average of 94.5% with interpretation was very good. Observed from learning achievement of science process skills of students declared eligible empirically with N-Gain resulted increase in the average of all aspects 0.62 in the medium category, and student was 93.5% with interpretation very proper. Thus colud be concluded that Student Worksheet oriented Learning Cycle 5E proper to train science process skills of formulating the problem, making hypotheses, identifing variables, observing, communicating and concluding the data.
