- Abstrak Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh bermain balok huruf terhadap kemampuan kosakata anak kelompok B di TK Laboratorium Unesa Tambaksari Surabaya. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 20 anak kelompok B TK Laboratorium Unesa Tambaksari Surabaya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dengan alat penilaian berupa lembar observasi dan metode dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan rumus Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan perbedaan kemampuan kosakata pada tahap pre-test dan post-test. Hasil penelitian pre-test adalah 212 dengan rata-rata 10,6, sedangkan hasil post-test adalah 305 dengan rata-rata 15,25. Selain itu, nilai Thitung = 0 lebih kecil dari Ttabel = 52 dengan taraf signifikansi 5%. Jika Thitung < Ttabel (0 < 52) dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh bermain balok huruf terhadap kemampuan kosakata anak kelompok B di TK Laboratorium Unesa Tambaksari Surabaya. Abstract This quantitative research was aimed to find the effect of playing alphabet block on vocabulary skill of children in group B at TK Lab Unesa Tambaksari Surabaya. The subjects of research are 20 children in group B at TK Lab Unesa Tambaksari Surabaya. Data collection of techniques was using the observation methods of nonparticipant with the instrument of assessment such as the observation sheets and the documentation methods. Data analysis of techniques was using the formula of Wilcoxon Match Pairs Test. Based on the results of the research, it indicates the difference of vocabulary skill pre-test and post-test. Pre-test, the result is 212 with mean of 10,6. Post-Test, the result is 305 with mean of 15,25. Beside, Tcalculated = 0 is less than Ttable = 52 with significance level of 5%. If Tcalculated < T table (0<52) then it can be concluded that there is effect of playing alphabet block on vocabulary skill of children in group B at TK Lab Unesa Tambaksari Surabaya.
