- The change of women dignity status, in essence, began from the coming of Islam as a perfect and complete religion. In history record of humanity and religion, the women were placed on the lower level compared to the men. Furthermore, if a woman (wife) gave birth a baby girl, then she would be buried alive. This indication described how disgraceful and humble a woman before the advent of Islam.Kata Kunci: peran, gender, keluarga sakinah
