- Abstract This study aims to determine differences in perceptions between senior and junior S1 STIE Nusa Megarkencana Yogyakarta students about the accounting profession. The type of data used in this thesis is primary data where the author distribute questionnaires to respondents directly by using Google Form digital data filling. In this study the authors used accounting student as the object of research as many as 108 people. In this study, using 2 variables, namely independent variables and dependent variables. The independent variables used are income, professional training, professional recognition, social values, work environment, labor market consideration, gender quality and the dependent variable used is the accounting profession. Test carried out using the Mann Whitney test by processing data using the SPSS 21.0 for windows. The result of the study showed that there where significant perceptions differences in term of income factor, professional recognition, social values, labor market consideration and gender quality. The result of no significant differences in perception were found in the factor of professional training and work envirorenment. Key words : Perceptions, senior and junior students, accounting profession.
