- Wheels is a component to vehicle when used will experience dynamic load even experiencing shock loads. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of electrical voltage and time on micro hardness nickel-chrome plating of the product casting aluminum scrap. In the nickel-chrome plating used electrical voltage 5, 7,5, 9 volt and time 5, 10, 15 seconds. Based on test results showed an increase in the hardness value of nickel-chrome plating with increasing electrical voltage and time. On the electrical voltage 5 volts of 11.21% - 16.61%, electrical voltage 7.5 volts of 21.83% - 26.49%, and electrical voltage 9 volt of 10.74% - 14.39%. On the time 5 seconds of 25.19% - 101.94%, time 10 seconds of 37.14% - 101.11% and time 15 seconds of 35.79% - 98.1%. From these results show the hardness value on the electrical voltage of 5 volt and 7.5 volts with times 5, 10, 15 seconds, as well the electrical voltage 9 volt with time of 5 seconds is still be in the area hardness nickel while the electrical voltage 9 volts with time 10 and 15 seconds were in a hardness area of chrome
