- This article explains the reason for inflation based on the idea of al-Maqrizi. Inflation according to Al- Maqrizi is the span of time and space from the source of inflation, the concept of reason is able to grow and protect the public, is a necessity to fend off inflation. The most important reason of al- Maqrizi on inflation allows different conventional inflation can occur simultaneously. The purpose of this study is to offer an alternative solution to the control of economic instability by using Islamic perspective from the viewpoint of a Muslim figure in medieval times. This perspective is used for the purpose of trying to seek a solution to the problem until the main current source of the problem. The results of this study found that the socio-economic phenomenon and the impact of inflation depending on the nature of income and wealth of each group. If the income is fixed or rising but lower than the rate of inflation, then the condition is severe. Otherwise, if their income increases higher than the rate of inflation, then their material prosperity will increase.
