- Peraturan Daerah (Perda) is one kind of legislation at the local level. According to the hierarchy of norms system in Indonesia, Perda is the lowest level of regulatory sequences. Lawmaking authority to be given to Parliament (DPRD) and Head of Region in order to facilitate activities of local governments. However, in recent years many Perda are canceled by the central government. Of the many such cancellation, apparently Perda canceled through the Minister of the Interior. Although as one type of legislation, Perda can only be canceled by the laws that are similar or above the law, while the Minister of the Interior is not included on the types of laws and regulations in Indonesia.
