  • The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of straw and cow dung comparison to the temperature profile and the characteristics of the producing compost. The experiments ware performed using a randomized block design (RBD) with three levels of treatment comparisons between the composition of straw and cow dung. Whereas the treatment was used as control only using straw materials. Observations conducted on two things the temperature profile during the composting process and the characteristics of the resulting Compost. The results showed the addition of manure increases the temperature of the composting process is temperature mesophilic phase (30-35?C). compost produced has characteristics include an average pH 7.3, average content 5.5% and C-organic 26.9%.
