  • The full-reduplication Balinese verbs are used in everyday life, therefore they can be found in every text using Balinese. This article aims at describing the meaning of the reduplication form, such as : kituk-kituk,lier-lier. The data was taken from Balinese newspaper and analyzed by Metalanguage theory. The result showed that the reduplicated forms might mean (a) giving more emphasis, e.g.anggut-anggut,(b) done more than once, e.g. kauk-kauk ; (c) creating new meaning since the root (the single form) does not exist in Balinese, e.g. sidapĂ  sidap-sidap. Metalanguage manages to coherently and systematically reveal each meaning respectively.
