- Morowali is one area that is being developed and launched a program of development in all fields, one through the transmigration program. Transmigration settlement area development program is one solution to the opening and development of the backward regions. The purpose of this study is to assess the condition and potential of land resources and water resources Umpanga village location and socio-economic conditions as one of the supporting aspects of new transmigration sites. The analysis method is analytical description using maps, tables, and laboratory testing of the sample. The results demonstrate the capacity of the land for resettlement of 200 families consisting of prospective Migrants Local Population (TPS) as many as 100 families and prospective residents Migrants Regional Origin (TPA) as many as 100 families. There are three types of soil, which means there are three SPL, the Alluvial (SPL 1), kambisol (SPL 2), and Mediterranean (SPL 3). As for the suitability of agricultural land, can be planted Dryland Crop, Crop Vegetables and Annual Plants. Clean water is derived from two rivers, the River and the River Mate'e Karambau. besides that clean water is also obtained from shallow groundwater and roof water / rain water collected
