- This research aimed to discover the reasons of women worker, their productivity, time allocation and factors which influence the productive working hours. The research was conducted at Pendem village (Malang Regency) as representative of rural rural areas and Mojolangu village (Malang Municipality) as representative of urban areas. The data was analyses by urban areas. The data was analyses by descriptive and multiple linear regression. The research results revealed that women workers both in rural and urban areas has economic and social reason. The average time allocation per day at rural area was 5.8 hours for productive activities, and 18.2 hours for non-productive one. Women worker productivity which is measured form their income were Rp 860,0 for rural and Rp 5,300 for urban area. Factors which influence productive hours in rural area were education, work experience and family members; while in urban area were age and work experience.
