- Saguling Reservoir is one of the reservoirs built in the Citarum Watershed which is quite polluted, and has a potential to contain heavy metals (such as Pb). The Pb will be concentrated in the body of catfish (Pangasius djambal) which is commonly cultured in the reservoir and in the long term will accumulate. Liver is an organ that accumulates the most heavy metals so that it has the potential to cause damage in the form of necrosis, fibrosis, and cirrhosis. This study aims to analyze the content of Pb that accumulates in the liver and its effect on liver tissue damage. This study was conducted in December 2012 through sampling carried out at three stations representing the inlet, middle, and outlet. Analysis of Pb content (in the water and fish) was conducted using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) and obtained Pb heavy metal content (in fish) ranging from 7.5 to 16.4 mg/kg. The Pb content in the catfish had exceeded the quality standard based on SNI 2009 (for fish and its processed products). Liver tissue damage caused by Pb accumulation in the Saguling Reservoir was swelling and necrosis.
- Waduk Saguling merupakan salah satu waduk yang dibangun di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Citarum yang cukup tercemar, sehingga berpotensi mengandung logam berat (seperti Pb). Pb akan terkonsentrasi dalam tubuh ikan patin (Pangasius djambal) yang umum dibudidayakan di waduk tersebut dan dalam jangka waktu yang lama akan terakumulasi. Hati merupakan organ yang paling banyak mengakumulasi logam berat, sehingga berpotensi terjad kerusakan berupa nekrosis, fibrosis, dan cirrhosis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan Pb yang terakumulasi dalam hati dan pengaruhnya terhadap kerusakan jaringan hati. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember tahun 2012 dengan mengambil tiga stasiun yang mewakili inlet, tengah, dan outlet. Analisis kandungan Pb (pada air dan ikan) menggunakan AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer) dan didapatkan kandungan logam Pb (pada ikan) berkisar antara 7,5- 16,4 mg/kg. Kandungan Pb dalam ikan patin melebihi baku mutu berdasarkan SNI tahun 2009 (untuk ikan dan hasil olahannya). Kerusakan jaringan hati yang terjadi akibat akumulasi Pb di Waduk Saguling adalah pembengkakan dan nekrosis.
