- Authentication System Using Wireless LAN Service with FreeRadius and Chillispot are in use in the management of Internet connection is an applied technology. This system design aims to build server integrated with System Information Academic in service Wireless LAN with the aim to improve network security using authentication mechanisms, authorization, and user-activity reporting system connection.Methods in the design of this system used for data collection and information, requirements system design and process in system development. The data collection methods used method of literature study, observation, documentation methods to obtain requirements authentication system design. While method development system using the method Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate and Optimize that was developed by Cisco Systems. The result is a network authentication system integrated Wireless LAN with Systems information Academic using FreeRadius and Chillispot. FreeRadius serves as an check access control and authenticate users who want to connect to the Internet, while Chillispot serves to giver ip address, security and permission in the Wireless LAN network connecting. This system integrated in a single authentication mechanism can improve network security internet. The system is also designed to be able to manage bandwidth usage on the network server that authenticated Wireless LAN. Case studies conducted in the Faculty of Engineering UNDIP DIII.
