- Abstract: This observation aims to determine the increasing and student learning outcomes in chemistry subject by applying the model of cooperative learning type Teams Games Tournaments in class XI IPA 5 SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. The methods that used in this observation is classroom action research, conducted in three cycles. The first cycle (two meetings), the seconds cycle (two meetings), and the third cycle (one meeting). Techniques of data collection use the observation sheet and final testing cycle. Observation sheet was used to determine the activity of students and the test to determine student learning outcomes. The average activity of the students in the first cycle was 56,11%, second cycle was 67,98%, and the third cycle 77,03%. Value percentage of learning outcomes before conducted the method (T0) was 20,9%, value percentage of completeness of the first cycle (T1) was 47,62%, percentage of second cycle (T2) was 51,16%, and the percentage of third cycle (T3) was 85,56%. Observation result showed that by applying cooperative learning models thype TGT can enchance and chemistry learning of outcomes of students. Moreover advice that can be given is teacher can use the TGT learning models when having troble on learning process and teacher can control over the class.
