Budiadi</creator><description lang="en-US">The geothermal potential usually supported by groundwater resource in that area, such as Gedongsongo, at Ungaran, Central Java. Therefore, hydrogeological research is very important for supporting geothermal prospect at this region. This research is purposed as surface geological mapping&#xA0;&#xA0; with focussing in rocks and groundwater observation. The research methods are springs and wells observation, infiltration testing, rocks and groundwater sampling. &#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0;&#xA0; Good potential of groundwater indicated by permeable aquifers, many springs and abundant of shallow groundwater. This geothermal potential of Gedongsongo prospect areashould be strong supported by this condition.&#xA0;&#xA0; The aquifers in this region consist of Young Ungaran breccia and lava and Notopuro volcanic breccia aquifer zones. The groundwater in these aquifer zones stored in fracture and intergranular porosity system. Whereas, many springs are found in many places. Hot spring can be found in Gedongsongo which is one of manifestation of geothermal system.&#xA0; Shallow groundwater level shows lower elevation to the south of Mt.
