- Abstrak: Pembuatan efek luka bakar merupakan tata rias karakter cacat. tata rias karakter cacat merupakan suatu riasan sebagaimana kita membuat model atau luka sehingga klien dalam penampilannya seperti orang cacat/luka. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan dan respon panelis tentang hasil jadi efek luka bakar pada tata rias karakter dengan menggunakan bahan kosmetik lem bulu mata dan gelatin crystal gel sehingga didapatkan bahan kosmetik alternatif untuk tata rias karakter efek luka bakar dengan derajat tingkat dua. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Objek penelitian ini adalah tangan 1 orang model, tangan kanan model menggunakan gelatin crystal gel, tangan kiri model menggunakan lem bulu mata. dengan kriteria tidak terdapat luka/bekas luka. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, angket, dokumentasi. Metode analisis data menggunakan statistik t dua sampel bebas (independent sample T test). Aspek yang dinilai dalam observasi penelitian ini adalah proses pengaplikasian, kesesuaian hasil dengan obyek asli, efek penggunaan, Efesiensi waktu pengerjaan, tingkat ketertarikan observer. Hasil penelitian untuk observasi terdapat 3 aspek yang signifikan yaitu proses pengaplikasian, efek penggunaan, efesiensi waktu pengerjaan. Aspek yang dinilai dalam respon panelis adalah bentuk hasil riasan, warna hasil riasan, elastisitas hasil riasan, tekstur riasan, daya tahan, daya kuat, daya lekat. Hasil penelitian untuk respon panelis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan lem bulu mata mendapat kriteria tertinggi pada 5 aspek, yaitu elastisitas hasil riasan, tekstur riasan, daya tahan, daya kuat, daya lekat. Gelatin crystal gel mendapat kriteria tertinggi pada 2 aspek, yaitu bentuk hasil riasan, warna hasil riasan, Dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbandingan hasil pembuatan efek luka bakar pada tata rias karakter dengan menggunakan bahan kosmetik lem bulu mata dan gelatin crystal gel. Kata Kunci : tata rias karakter, efek luka bakar, bahan kosmetik lem bulu mata, gelatin crystal gel Abstract: The creation of burn effect is a part of deformed character makeup. Deformed character makeup is a type of makeup where the makeup artist creates a model of artificial injury or deformation to make his or her client look like an injured or deformed person. Furthermore, the purpose of this research is to find out the result of the comparison and the responses of the panelists on the final result of the artificial burns in character makeup by using eyelash adhesive and crystal gel gelatin. In addition, this research is also aimed to find an alternative cosmetic for the character makeup of second-degree burn. The current research is an experimental research. The objects of the research are the hands of 1 model. For the right hand, the researcher uses crystal gel gelatin, and the eyelash adhesive for the left hand. In the meantime, the criterion applied to the model is the absence of scar or injury on both hands. The methods used to collect the data are observation, questionnaire, and documentation. Then, the data is analyzed by using the independent two-sample T test statistics. The aspects being assessed in the observation stage of this research include the application process, realistic aspect, function effect, production time’s efficiency, and attractiveness for observers. The result of the observation revealed that there are 3 significant aspects out of the aspects mentioned previously. Those aspects are: the application process, the function effect, and the production time’s efficiency. In the meantime, the aspect being assessed by the panelists’ responses are the form, the color, the elasticity, the texture, durability, strength, and adhesion of the makeup’s final result. To sum up, the result of the research on the panelists’ responses shows that the application of eyelash adhesive obtains the highest criteria for 5 aspects, they are: the elasticity, texture, durability, strength, and adhesion of the makeup’s final result. On the other hand, crystal gel gelatin obtains the highest for 2 aspects; they are the shape and the color of the makeup’s final result. Finally, it can be concluded that there are differences in the results of character makeup for burn effect by using eyelash adhesive and crystal gel gelatin.
