Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK), terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dengan 3 ulangan dan tiap ulangan terdiri dari 5 sampel. Perlakuan yang dimaksud adalah waktu aplikasi 3 minggu setelah tanam (P1), Waktu aplikasi 4 minggu setelah tanam (P2), waktu aplikasi 5 minggu setelah tanam (P3), waktu aplikasi 6 minggu setelah tanam (P4) dan pendangiran (P5). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini meliputi tinggi tanaman (cm), berat kering brangkasan jagung (g), diameter tongkol (cm), panjang tongkol (cm), berat bersih tongkol per tanaman (g), berat tongkol per bedengan (kg) dan berat kering gulma (g). Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa waktu penyemprotan herbisida paraquat tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, berat kering brangkasan jagung, diameter tongkol, panajang tongkol, berat bersih tongkol per tanaman, berat tongkol per bedengan tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap berat kering gulma, penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa perlakuan P2 (waktu penyemprotan 4 MST) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap berat tongkol bersih yaitu 298,8 gram per tanaman. Kata Kunci : Herbisida Paraquat, Jagung Manis, Waktu Aplikasi THE INFLUENCE OF TIME IN PARAQUAT HERBICIDE APPLICATION TO THE GROWTH AND THE RESULTS OF SWEET CORNS (Zea mays saccharata Sturt) Henny Listifia1) Sarbino dan Rahmidiyani2) 1)Student, 2)Lecturers in Agriculture Faculty of Tanjungpura University ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to know the influence of implementation time of herbisida paraquat to growth of and production of sweet corn plants. This research used randomized block design (RBD), consists of 5 implementations by 3 repetitions and each repetition consists of 5 samples. The intended treatment is implementation time 3 weeks after planting (P1). Implementation time 4 weeks after planting (P2), implementation time 5 weeks after planting (P3), implementation time 6 weeks after planting (P4) by cultivation (P5). The variable that observed in this research includes the higher plants (cm), dry weight stover of corn (g), cob diameter (cm), the length of the cob (cm), net weight of the cob each plants (g), weight of the cob each plot (kg) and dry weight of weeds (g). The result of this research shows that the time of spraying herbisida paraquat is not influential to the higher plants, dry weight stover of corn, cob diameter, cob length, cob net weight, cob weight each plot but it is influential to dry weight of weeds, this research shows that from all of implementation, P2 give the best result, that is implementation time 4 weeks after planting with the net weight of the cob each plants is 298,8 gram.Key words: Herbisida paraquat,sweet corn, implementation time
