- Research on the toxic chemical content and activity of cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura) has been performed. Extraction of leaf cherry (Muntingia calabura) was done by maceration using methanol. The chemical contents of the leaf extract was test using color test. its toxic activity was tested against shrimp Artemia salina Leach using BSLT method. The results of the study showed that the cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura) contains alkaloids, steroids, flavonoids and saponins compounds. Based on BSLT test, it is known that the cherry leaf extract (Muntingia calabura)50 has a toxic activity with LC50 value of 295.76 ppm.
