- ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Make a Match terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan pada kelompok B1 TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan nonequivalent control group design. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 27 anak. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa tes unjuk kerja, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasyarat dan uji t yang diolah menggunakan SPSS. 15 for windows. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan membaca permulaan kelompok eksperimen pada saat pretest adalah 34,78 dan pada saat postest 43,96 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dari hasil tersebut dapat dilihat adanya perbedaan yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan berupa model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Make a Match. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Make a Match berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan pada anak kelompok B1 TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta tahun 2015/2016.Kata kunci : model pembelajaran Make a Match, kemampuan membaca permulaan, pendidikan anak usia dini.ABSTRACT The objectives of this research is to find out the effect of the Make a Match type of cooperative learning model toward early reading skill in the B1 group of TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta year 2015/2016. This research is quasi experiment by using nonequivalent control group design. The population and sample of this research is 27 students. Technique collecting sample used in this research is sampling jenuh. The data were collected by using test, observation, interview, and documentation. The data were analyzed by using prerequisite test and t test and processed by SPSS. 15 for windows. The research finding of the study imply that the average value of early reading skill on experiment group is 34,78 in pretest and 43,96 in posttest with significant value 0,000 < 0,05. According to the result above we can say that there are significant after the applied of the Make a Match type of cooperative learning model. So, Make a Match type of cooperative learning model significant effect toward early reading skill of group B1 TK Negeri Pembina Surakarta year 2015/2016.Keyword: Make a match learning model, early reading skill, early childhood education
