- Abstract. The Use of Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) Model Using Concrete Objects in Improving Ability of Playing Melody Music Instruments for the Fourth Grade Students of SD Negeri Tanuharjo in the Academic Year of 2015/2016. The objectives of this research is to improve the ability of playing melody music instruments the use of VAK learning model using concrete objects. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within three cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings including planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were 32 students of the fourth grade of SD Negeri Tanuharjo. The results of this research showed that the use of VAK learning model using concrete objects can improve the ability of playing melody music instruments for the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Tanuharjo in the academic year of 2015/2016.Keywords: VAK, concrete media, the ability of playing melody music instruments Abstrak. Penggunaan Model Visualization, Auditory, Kinesthetic (VAK) dengan Media Konkret dalam Peningkatan Keterampilan Bermain Alat Musik Melodis pada Siswa Kelas IV SD Negeri Tanuharjo Tahun Ajaran 2015/2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan keterampilan bermain alat musik melodis menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK dengan media konkret. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Setiap pertemuan terdiri dari empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Tanuharjo yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran VAK dengan media konkret yang dilaksanakan sesuai dengan langkah yang tepat dapat meningkatkan keterampilan bermain alat musik melodis pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri Tanuharjo tahun ajaran 2015/2016.
