Kata Kunci: emboss, kain sintetis, heat embossing, termoplastik, cetak saring, olah latar Abstract Embossing is one of the surface design techniques which render a unique texture due to the application of three-dimensional effects suitable to the designed motifs. Limited development and innovation in embossing techniques has resulted the technique to be associated only with leather products or invitation cards or similar kinds of products. Embossing can be done with heat press machine. As there are similarities in terms of production between thermoplastic synthetic fabric and embossing techniques in terms of the application of heat in certain temperature, the research shows that there is a possibility to apply embossing technique into synthetic fabric. Heat energy could also similarly be applied in printing process which may include flocking, heat-reactive ink, and foiling. Additional surface design techniques could be implemented to add variety into the texture.
