- This research has two aims,namely (1) to find kinds of adverbial clause and their markers and (2) to describe the strategy used to combine the adverbial clause in subordonative construction. The data are collected through the teqnique of observation, interview, and documentation and analyzed by applying distributional method. The result of the analysis shows that Waijewa language has 5 (five) kinds of adverbial clause, such as (1) adverbial clause marked by conjunction ba ‘since’, (2) adverbial clause of porpose which is present without its marker or marked by conjuction ka ‘in order to’, (3) adverbial clause of condition which is present without its marker or marked by conjunction ba ‘if’, (4) adverbial clause of manner which is present without its marker, and (5) adverbial clause of reason marked by conjunction oro ‘because’.The strategies used to combine the adverbial clause in subordinative construction are verb serialization and non embebbing.
