- The objective of this research are: (1) to find out prososial behavior of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirojo, (2) to find out the peer’ social support of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirojo, (3) to find out the peer’ social support contribution to prosocial behavior.This research is quantitative descriptive research. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirojo. The sample was eighth grade, which consisted of 134 students. The technique of collecting data that used was questionnaire about students’ prosocial behavior and peer social support. The technique of analyzing the data used for the first and second hypothesis was t-test one side (One Tail Test) with left tail test. Furthermore, simple regression linear technique with SPSS 20 was used to analyze the third hypothesis.The result indicate of this study that: (1) prosocial behavior at the eighth grade students of the SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirojo belong to the medium category, the results of the calculation indicate tcalculate < ttable is -13,619 < 1,6563. (2) the peer’ social support at the eighth grade students of the SMP Negeri 2 Ngadirojo belong to the medium category, the results pf the calculation indicate tcalculate < ttable is -13,132 < 1,6563. (3) the contribution of peer’ social support to the students’ prosocial support is 30,9% obtained from the results of the calculation of R Square of 0,309.
