- The aims of this research are determine to: 1) Know student self confidence on VIII grade at SMP Negeri 1 Grogol. 2) Intensity of social interaction on VIII grade student at SMP Negeri 1 Grogol with peer group. 3) Is intensity of social interaction on VIII grade student at SMP Negeri 1 Grogol with peer group have a contribution toward student self confidence. This is a descriptive quantitative research. This research was held in SMP Negeri 1 Grogol. Population of this research is all of the student on VIII grade at SMP Negeri 1 Grogol in 2014 / 2015 academic year, which 320 in total. This research use quota random sampling technique, and take 176 student for sample. Collecting data technique is use questionnaire. Data Analizing for this research use regression analysis with SPSS 16 software for processing data analysis.The outcome of this research are 1) Student self confidence is classified to middle level at interval , 2) Intensity of social interaction with peer group is classified to middle level at interval , dan 3) intensity of social interaction on VIII grade student at SMP Negeri 1 Grogol with peer group have a contribution for student self confidence at amount 29,1%.
