- The purpose of this study was to examine the efectivenes of the serviceon further information study towards the abiltyin making decision on continuingthe study on the twelfth grade students of SMA Negeri Gondangrejo in theacademic year of 2014/ 2015.This study was an experimental research using Quasi-Experimental NonEquivalent Control Group Design plan, which was a research that utilzed twogroups which functioned as experimental group and control group. Researchsubject selection technique used in this research was purposive random samplingtechnique.The number of subjects in this research was 30 students divided intotwo groups; 15 students were in the experimental group and 15 students were inthe control groups. The level of the abilty in making decision on continuing thestudy was measured by using questioner instruments about he level of the abiltyto make decision. The treatment by giving information about further study to theexperimental group was conducted in one wek. The technique of analyzing thediference examination used was Wilcoxon technique through the SPS 18aplication.The result showed that, from the result of the diference examination byusing Wilcoxon technique, Z score for the pre-test – post-test obtained byexperimental group was – 3.413 with Asymp score. The sig (2-tailed) was 0.01 <0.05. From the result of the analysis, it could be concluded that the significancediference betwen the score of the level of the abilty in making decision oncontinuing the study on the experimental group betwen before they were giventhe treatment and after they were given in the form of the service on theinformation about further study.3The conclusion of this study was that there was an efect of the serviceon further study information towards the improvement on the abilty in makingdecision on continuing the study on the twelfth grade students of SMA NegeriGondangrejo in the academic year of 2014/ 2015Keywords: service on further study information, abilty in makingdecision on continuing the study
