  • This research started from the students condition while learning in theclassroom which shows the lock of concentration. Most of the students do not payattention to the teacher’s explanation during learning process in the classroom. One ofthe most important factors in students learning success is the good learningconcentration. Learning concentration is directly proportional to the learning success.If the students have the good learning concentration, it is likely that students willachieve success in learning, then the achievement would be good. Therefore, it isneeded for a counseling service which can increase students learning concentration,one of which is the educative games technique.The purpose of this research is to find out the effectiveness of educativegames technique to increase the learning concentration of grade VI students of sdnegeri 02 tugu jumantono in academic year of 2014/2015.This research is a pre-experimental research which uses One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The subject of this research are the grade VI students of SD Negeri02 Tugu Jumantono, which amount thirty students. The technique that is uses in thecollection of sample is the total sampling. The data collection uses learningconcentration questionnaire instrument. The validity test of the instrument usesPearson correlation, with the reliability coefficient of 0,907. The analysis of the datauses the SPSS statistics application with the technique of analysis of Paired SampleT-Test.According to the pretest-posttest score deviation test result of the subject ofthe research before and after the treatment, it is found that the educative gamestechnique is effective to increase learning concentration. It is proved by the value oftcalculated equal to -4,501>ttable equal to -3,038 with a significance value of 0,000<0,05, so that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted , which means that there is asignificant difference in the enhancement of students learning concentration betweenbefore and after the treatment.3The conclusion of this research is that the educative games technique iseffective to increase learning concentration of grade VI students of SD Negeri 02Tugu Jumantono in the academic year of 2014/2015.Keywords: educative games technique, learning concentration
