- The purpose of research and development is produce information materials of studies into college to improve career decision making of High School Students. Research and development is carried out by adapting the concept of Research and Development by Borg and Gall.Research and development activities through the Preliminary Study, planning and manufacturing of initial product, experts test, practitioners test, making final product and effectiveness test of the product. The subject of product test are two expert of guidance and counseling and three teachers of guidance and counseling. Subjects of effectiveness product test were 29 students of class XII exact 4 SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. The data collected to measure the feasibility and effectively of the product. Data collection techniques to measure feasibility assessment product by using the form. Data collection techniques to measure the effectiveness of the product with career decision-making skill questionnaire for high school students. Data analysis utilizing SPSS 16.0In expert test, the product was rated 80,83 % by the first expert and 81,67 % by the second expert. In a practitioner test, the product was rated 81,67 % by first practitioner, 80,83 % by second practitioner, and 85,83 % by third practitioner. Based on the result of hypothesis, it is known tscore =7.588 and ttable= 1,701 (0,000 with significance <0,05), t score>t table. It means that there are difference in the value of career decision-making skill significantly between before and after treatment were treated using information material of studies into college.The result of research and development is produce material information to student about the college to improve the career decision-making skill for high school students. The information materials have met the eligibility criteria based on expert testing and product testing as well as effective practitioners to improve students’ career decision-making skills.
