  • This research aims to determine the effectiveness of game technique toimprove the expressing opinion’s ability of the fourth grade student at SDNPrawit I No. 69 Surakarta academic year 2012/ 2013.This research is action research in guidance and counseling. It wasconducted into two cycles, each cycle consists of planning, action, observationand reflection. The subjects of this research are five students of fourth grade atSDN Prawit I No. 69 Surakarta. Data resource comes from the students and theteacher. Techniques of collecting data are observation and interview. The datavalidation uses data triangulation technique. Data analysis uses percentageanalysis technique and clinical analysis. Research procedure is Kemmis and McTaggart’s model. The used action in this research is game technique collaboratingwith the teacher. The conduction of the action is implemented in cycle I and cycleII.This study shows that game technique can improve the expressingopinion’s ability starting from pre-action into action cycle I and action cycle II.The enhancement in the cycle I is 44,76% but it has not been significant yetbecause it also has not fulfilled the appointed successfulness indicator. Thesignificant enhancement happens on the cycle II which has 74,70% because it hasreached the appointed successfulness indicator which has 50%. This studyconcludes that the application of game technique is effective to improve theexpressing opinion’s ability of the student of fourth grade at SDN Prawit I No. 69Surakarta academic year 2012/ 2013.
