- This research used Research and Development method. Its effectiveness was tested through experiment. The research was conducted through seven phases, namely: (1) research and gathering of data, (2) planning, (3) product draft development, (4) expert and practitioner judgments, (5) revision of result of experiment, (6) limited field experiment, and (7) the result of experiment through effectiveness testing. The subjects of the research students in Grade VIII 10 of them were included in the limited test, and 30 were exposed to effectiveness test. The data of the research were gathered through questionnaire, observation, and in-depth interview. Were analyzed by using t-test.The result of the preliminary research shows that the school culture-related behaviors of 28 students (29.8%) belong to a high category, those of 35 students (37.2%) are in a medium category, and those of 30 students (33%) are owned by a low category. Based on the expert judgment, practitioner judgment, and limited experiment evaluation, the developed module has the average percentage of 88.05%.The result of the research through the development of the module effective to improve the attitude of the school cultures of the students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary School 2 of Girimarto. The t-test shows that the value of the tcount = is 17.397 at the significance level of 0.000. For the significance level is smaller than 0.005, H0 is rejected and H1 is verified meaning that that there is a significant improvement in the school cultures of the students prior to and following the treatment.Based on the result of the research, a conclusion is drawn that the information services are effective to improve the school cultures of the students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary School 2 of Girimarto in Academic Year 2012/2013.
