- This research aims at: (1) producing career information materials on highschool through college mediation output assisted flash program; (2) testing theeffectiveness of career information materials on high school through collegemediation output assisted flash program to increase students’ interest in furtherstudy of class VIII of SMP N 20 Surakarta.The method used in this research is research and development (R&D).Subject of this research is class VIII A of SMP N 20 Surakarta, consisting of 26students. The data were collected through interviews and the scale of interest infurther study. The data analysis techniques employed were descriptive qualitativeanalysis, descriptive statistics and t-test techniques.The results of expert and practitioner tests indicate that the careerinformation materials on high school through college mediation output assistedflash program is considered good and is appropriate to use. The results of moreextensive field testing (testing the effectiveness of the product) showed anincrease in students' interest in further study of 21.66 % between the supply ofinformation before and after administration of information materials. This isreinforced by the results of statistical t-test analysis, which showed t observation =12.244 is bigger than t table = 1.708 and the significance value < 0.05 , or it canbe said that career information materials on high school through college mediationoutput assisted flash program is proved to be effective to increase students'interest in further study.The results of this study suggest that the career information materials onhigh school through college mediation output assisted flash program is effectiveto increase students’ interest in further study in class VIII of SMP N 20 Surakartain the academic year of 2013/2014.
