EFIKASI LARVASIDA BACILLUS SPHAERICUS DAN BACILLUS THURINGIENSIS SEROTYPE H-14 (BTI H-14) TERHADAP LARVA NYAMUK ANOPHELES SUNDAICUS DAN PENGARUHNYA TERHADAP BENUR UDANG

  • An experimental study in efficacy of Vectolex (containing of Bacillus sphaericus), Vectobac WDG and Vectobac 12 AS (containing of B. thuringiensis) biological larvicide's against mosquito larvae of Anopheles sundaicus and their implication for shrimp fry. This study consist of two steps, the first step is laboratory scale aimed to obtain LD90 concentration for each type of larvicide's and this study was carried out in Vector Borne Diseases Research Unit Laboratory. The second step is field trial aimed to examine LD90 concentration and recommended concentration and to obtain residual effect of those larvicide's and their implication for shrimp fry. The second step was carried out in fishpond area located in Sukaresik Village Ciamis District - West Java Province. The result shows that from those larvicides, all of them were effectively for death of An. sundaicus mosquito larvae and there is not implication for shrimp fry, it means that larvicide's safe for shrimp fry. Based on statistical calculation, both of recommended and LD90 concentration were not significantly different for An. sundaicus mosquito larvae, therefore further analyze was conducted only for recommended concentration. Another result of statistical calculation shows even though all of larvicide's were effectively, however there is not significantly different each other. According to probil analyze shows that residual effect of Vectolex has longer rather than other larvicides. The times spend of residual for LD90 of Vectolex is 10.805 days and for LD 50 reached 24.444 days. In line for LD90 of Vectobac WDG reached 6.20 days and reached 16.005 days. Furthermore for LD90 and LD50 of Vectobac 12 AS reached 5.773 days and 13.149 days respectively. For the conclusion, the most effective of larvicide's for An. sundaicus mosquito larvae control is Vectolex in recommended concentration (500 grams/hectare).
