- Tuberculosis is remains a health problem in the world including Indonesia. In Indonesia, Tuberculosis is a main cause of death among other infectious diseases. In Bandung district during January - December 2001 could be recorded 132 mortality cases caused by Tuberculosis. The data were collected from hospitals and health centres. The patients were young in age, have low level of education, and low income. Only 82.5 percent of them received specific treatment for Tubercu losis, 49.5 percent started the therapy for the first time, and 90.1 percent did not finish the regimen. The major reasons they stopped the treatment namely they did not feel a better health improvement and the disease turned worse. Those are the same reason for the patients to seek other health facilities if they have not satisfied about the treatment results. Keywords: Tuberculosis, mortality, treatment history
