- Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keinginan peneliti untuk mengetahui pengaruh pada penerapan strategi SQ3R pada pembelajaran membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SD. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman dengan penerapan strategi SQ3R, dan hasil belajar membaca pemahaman siswa dengan penerapan strategi SQ3R. Penelitian ini dirancang dengan desain eksperimen semu. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Balongpanggang yang berjumlah 20 orang. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, hasil pengamatan pada kegiatan guru pada pertemuan pertama adalah 3,36 dan pada pertemuan kedua adalah 3,71. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwaa terdapat peningkatan pada kegiatan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman. Pada hasil rata-rata nilai pretest adalah 61 yang artinya hasil pretes siswa dinyatakan tidak tuntas sedangkan hasil rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 83 yang artinya hasil post-test siswa dinyatakan tuntas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan strategi pembelajaran Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Balongpanggang Gresik. Dengan keterangan t tabel (5% = 2, 093) < t hitung (8,982) > ttabel (1% = 2, 861). Kata Kunci: strategi SQ3R, membaca pemahaman Abstract This research is motivated by the desire of researchers to determine the effect on the application of learning strategies on reading comprehension SQ3R fourth grade students. The purpose of this study was to describe the implementation of teaching reading comprehension with SQ3R strategy implementation, and learning outcomes of students with reading comprehension strategy implementation SQ3R. This study was designed with the experimental design. Subjects in this study were fourth grade students at SDN 1 Balongpanggang of 20 people. Based on the data obtained, the results of observation on the activity of teachers at the first meeting was 3,36 and the second meeting is 3.71. This shows there is an increase in activity bahwaa teaching reading comprehension. On average yield pretest value is 61, which means that the results of the pretest students declared incomplete while the average yield posttest score is 83, which means the results of the post-test students declared complete. It can be concluded that there is significant influence implementation of learning strategies Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review (SQ3R) against reading comprehension skills of the fourth grade students at SDN 1 Balongpanggang Gresik.
