- In the gloat era, UKM is demanded to produce a products which have high competition. The astrades that are faced by UKM in realizing tha role are the limitation of the source of the capital and the low of the quality of the human resources to imporove the qulaity of the human resources is very important to be done to is is to improve work ethic. It needs the institutions that can solve this obstacles. Business development service (BDS) as the institution that gives service to the business development is expected to be able to facilitate this. The activities that are given by the BDS to the society can be classified based on function, planning, implementalion, and development basically, BDS needed to improve UKM business. The developtmem of UKM depends on rhe motivation of the manager. The service of the BDS, and the motivation of the manager are expected to improve rhe work ethic the UKM Manager. The result of this research show that BDS programs such as planning , impfementmion, development, and motivation have positif and significant influence in improving work ethic of the UKM Manager.
