- Indonesia recognized to have properties of very big coal-mine. Estimated of coal reserve in Indonesia counted 38 billion ton. In this time, coal peeped at as alternative energi, along progressively attenuating Indonesia's gas and oil reserve.Some problem of enterpasing of coal mining in Indonesia such as: (1) domination of State of coal-mine; (2) policy of coal mining more party to foreign capital: (3) conflict between ownership of farm with local resident and negate custom society position: (4) overlap farm with other sector; (5) collision of human rights in enterpasing of coal mining; (6) no concept in "reserve of energi"; (7) nonalignment to environment; (8) reclamation farm after mining do not be conducted: (9) people will easy to face against the law.Especial mistake of coal mining orientation and policy in Indonesia begin from Undang-undang Nomor 11 Tahun 1967 tentang Ketentuan Pokok Pertambangan, which orienting at strength of big capital and eksploitatif. As broken effort of link policy of patcrwork mming, require to be conducted by a breakthrough dare to, that is conducting moratorium. Coal though become alternative energi in this time, but in character remain to represent natural resources which cannot renew. Therefore if doing mining continually its chance will equal to petroleum case, in the time will used up. Nowadays we needed a good management with wise exploiting strategy.Key words: batubara (coal), pertambangan batu bara (coal milling), pencadangan mineral (mineral reserve)
