DEVELOPMENT OF ANDROID-BASED INTERACTIVE MEDIA ON SUBJECTS OF BASIC MECHANICAL ENGINEERING DESIGN CLASS X AT STATE VOCATION HIGH SCHOOL 2 PAMEKASAN

  • Abstract From the results of an interview with one of the teachers majoring in mechanical engineering at SMKN 2 Pamekasan, it’s known that educators still have difficulty in providing an overview or illustration in conveying the basic material for basic mechanical engineering design subjects. The purpose of this research is to create an android-based media device that can be run on smartphones by students to help students understand the basic material of mechanical engineering design. This research uses the R&D method with the 4D development model. This study uses a "One Group Pretest-Posttest" design. The data analysis technique used a validation instrument, a pre-test post-test instrument and also a student response instrument. This study resulted in the feasibility of learning media that was very feasible with a percentage value of material feasibility of 83.33% and media feasibility of 91.66%. The results of the effectiveness of learning media are 0.614 which are in the medium category. Student responses to the developed media got a percentage value of 86% which can be said to be very positive, Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed Android-based learning media device can be usedas teaching material for basic mechanical engineering design subjects.   • Abstrak Dari hasil wawancara dengan salah satu guru jurusan teknik pemesinan di SMKN 2 Pamekasan diketahui bahwa pendidik masih kesulitan dalam memberikan gambaran atau ilustrasi dalam menyampaikan materi dasar perancangan teknik mesin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu membuat perangkat media berbasis android yang dapat dijalankan pada smartphone oleh peserta didik guna membantu peserta didik dalam memahami materi dasar perancangan teknik mesin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model pengembangan 4D. Penelitian ini menggnakan desain “One Group Pretest-Posttest”. Teknik analisis data menggunakan  instrumen validasi, instrumen pre-test post-test dan juga instrumen respon peserta didik. penelitian ini menghasilkan kelayakan media pembelajaran sangat layak dengan nilai persentase kelayakan materi sebesar 83,33% dan kelayakan media sebesar 91,66%. Adapun hasil keefektifan media pembelajaran sebesar 0,614 yang berkategori sedang. Respon peserta didik terhadap media yang dikembangkan mendapat nilai perentase 86% yang dapat dikatakan berkategori sangat positif. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan perangkat media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan dapat dipakai sebagai bahan ajar mata pelajaran Dasar Perancangan Teknik Mesin.
