PERBANDINGAN KEMAMPUAN REPRESENTASI MATEMATIS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE NHT DAN TPS

  • This quasi-experimental research aimed to compare the increasing of mathematical representation skill of students who learned in cooperative learning model of NHT and TPS type. This research design was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of SMPN 25 Bandarlampung in academic years of 2014/2015. The samples of this research were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained by the test of mathematical representation skill. Based on hypothesis test, it was gotten the conclusion that cooperative learning model of TPS type was better than NHT to increase mathematical representation skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan peningkatan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT dan TPS. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMPN 25 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan representasi matematis. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS lebih meningkatkan kemampuan representasi matematis siswa dibandingkan NHT.Kata kunci: kemampuan representasi matematis, NHT, TPS
