  • This research was a quasi experiment is aimed to know about the influence of cooperative learning model type teams games tournament (TGT) to the understanding of studentâ€TMs mathematical concept. The research design was posttest only control design. Research population were chosen by purposive random sampling method. The data of research was studentâ€TMs mathematical concept understanding. According to the data analyisis result, it was obtained that the average of studentâ€TMs mathematical concept understanding in TGT learning were higher than conventional learning at significant degree 5%. The conclusion of research is the applied of cooperative learning type TGT give positive influence to the understanding of studentâ€TMs mathematical concept. Keyword: influence, TGT, understanding of mathematical concept
