  • This quasi-experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of guided discovery learning model toward student’s mathematical reflective thinking ability and belief. The population in this research was all students of grade 8th of SMPN Bandarlampung in academic year 2018/2019 as many as 246 student’s, that distributed into eight classes. Through purposive sampling technique, VIII A as many as 29 student’s and VIII C as many as 28 student’s were chosen as the research sample. This research used pretest-posttest group design for student’s mathematical reflective thinking ability and posttest only control group design for student’s belief. The data in this research was quantitative data that obtained by student’s mathematical reflective thinking ability and belief. By using -test and proportion test conclusions are obtained that guided discovery learning model was effective towards student’s mathematical reflective thinking ability and belief. Keywords: belief, effectiveness, guided discovery learning, mathematical reflective thinking ability. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model guided discovery learning ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan belief siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 20 Bandarlampung semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2018/2019 sebanyak 246 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Melalui purposive sampling, terpilihlah kelas VIII A sebanyak 29 siswa dan VIII C sebanyak 28 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest group design untuk kemampuan berpikir reflektif siswa dan posttest only control group design untuk belief siswa. Data penelitian berupa data kuantitatif yang diperoleh dari tes kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan belief siswa. Dengan menggunakan uji- dan uji proporsi diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model guided discovery learning efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir reflektif matematis dan belief siswa.
