- This quasi experimental research aims to find out the influence of problem posing approach towards studentâ€TMs ability of mathematical comÂmuÂnication which is obtain by problem posing into three cognitive activiiesy that are pre-solution posing, within solution posing and post solution posing. Population is students of eighth grade even semester of SMPN 1 Natar South Lampung in 2012/2013 as many as 391 students who distributed in twelve classes. The sample purposive sampling technique, that are VIII E and VIII H class. The design is the posttest-only control-group. Based on the results of hypothesis test, average of the studentâ€TMs ability of mathematical communication in problem posing approach class is higher than average of studentsâ€TM ability of matheÂmatical communication in conventional learning class. Thus, problem posing approach influences studentâ€TMs ability of mathematical comÂmunication of students SMPN 1 Natar South Lampung in 2012/2013.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pendekatan problem posing terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diaplikasikan dalam 3 (tiga) aktiÂvitas kognitif yaitu pre-solution posing, within solution posing dan post solution posing. PopuÂlasi adalah siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 1 Natar Lampung Selatan tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 seÂbanyak 391 yang terdistribusi dalam dua belas kelas. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Kelas yang terpilih sebagai sampel yaitu VIII E dan VIII H. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest-only control-group design. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh bahwa rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan pendekatan pembelajaran probÂlem posing lebih besar daripada rata-rata kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Dengan demikian, pendekatan pemÂbelajaran problem posing berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan komunikasi mateÂmatis siswa SMP Negeri 1 Natar Lampung Selatan Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013.Kata Kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pendekatan Problem Posing, pengaruh
