- This quasi experimental research was intended to find out the effectiveness of Alqurun Teaching Model (ATM) learning in terms of student’s understanding mathematical concept ability. The design of this research was posttest only control design. The populations of this research were all students of IX class at SMP IT Ar-Raihan Bandarlampung in academic year 2016/2017. The samples of the research were the students of class IX C and IX D that determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of the research was obtained through the best in form of description test. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using Mann Whitney U test, it showed that the Alqurun Teaching Model (ATM) was not effective in terms of student’s understanding mathematical concept ability. However in classes that used ATM learning, the student’s understanding mathematical concept ability was increased from previous learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran Alqurun Teaching Model (ATM) ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP IT Ar- Raihan Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/ 2017. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX C dan IX D yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes berupa tes uraian. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U, menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Alqurun Teaching Model (ATM) tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Namun, pada kelas yang menggunakan pembelajaran ATM, kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa meningkat dari pembelajaran sebelumnya.Kata kunci: Efektivitas, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis, Alqurun Teaching Model.
