- This aim of this research was to know the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning type Quick On The Draw in terms of students mathematical communication skills on Set topic. This research used pretest-posttest control group design.The population of this research were students of grade VII in SMPN 2 Bumi Ratu Nuban in academic year 2016/2017. Through purposive sampling technique, two classes was choosen as the sample that were VII D and VII E classes respectively amount 25 students and 24 students. Analysis data of this research used Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the research, it was concluded that Quick On The Draw learning was not effective in terms of students mathematical communication skills but it was better than conventional learning. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Quick On The Draw ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi Himpunan. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bumi Ratu Nuban tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Terpilih 2 kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas VII D dan VII E masing-masing berjumlah 25 siswa dan 24 siswa, melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengguankan uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Quick On The Draw tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa tetapi lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.
