PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN TEAM QUIZ TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS DAN SELF CONFIDENCE

- This quasi-experimental research aimed to find out the influence of Team Quiz learning towards student’s mathematical critical thinking skills and self confidence. This research used posttest only control group design with population was all students of grade VIII of SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2015/2016. Through cluster random sampling technique, two classes were chosen as samples. The conclusion of this research was Team Quiz learning did not affect the mathematical critical thinking skils and self confidence of students. However, the mathematical critical thinking skills of students who taught by Team Quiz was higher than the critical thinking skills of students who taught by conventional learning.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Team Quiz terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan self confidence siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan posttest only control group design dimana populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Melalui teknik cluster random sampling, dua kelas diambil sebagai sampel. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran Team Quiz tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan self confidence siswa. Namun, kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran Team Quiz lebih tinggi daripada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis matematis, self confidence, team quiz
