EFEKTIVITAS PENERAPAN MODEL PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING DITINJAU DARI KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA

  • This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of implementation of problem-based learning model viewed by student’s mathematical communication skills. The population of this research was students of grade VII of Junior High School of 10 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2015/2016 which were distributed into eleven classes. The sampling of this research used purposive sampling and it was gotten students of VII-B class as samples. The design of this research was one group pretest-posttest. The data of this research were obtained by essay test. The hypothesis testing with mean testing and proportion showed that the implementation of problem-based learning model was not effective viewed by student’s mathematical communication skills.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model problem-based learning ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 10 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang terdistribusi dalam sebelas kelas. Pengambilan sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan terpilih siswa kelas VII B sebagai sampel. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes berupa soal uraian. Hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji kesamaan dua rata-rata dan uji proporsi menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem-based learning tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis.Kata kunci: efektivitas, kemampuan komunikasi, problem-based learning
