  • The objective of this research was to describe effectiveness of advance organizer learning model in improving studentsâ€TM skills of giving simple explanations and mentioning examples in solubility and solubility product materials. Subjects in this research were all students in classroom XI IPA3 in State Senior High School 7 in Bandar Lampung. This research used pre-experiment method with One-group Pretest-posttest design. The research of this research showed that n-gain average values of skills in giving simple explanations and mentioning examples were 0.71 (high category) and 0.58 (middle category). Based on these n-gain average values, the advance organizerlearning model was effective in improving skills in giving simple explanations and mentioning examples.Keywords: advance organizer, skill in giving simple explanations, skill in mentioning examples
