PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMP DITINJAU DARI KOMPETENSI SOSIAL SISWA

- Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan pembelajaran langsung; (2) mengetahui interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kompetensi sosial terhadap hasil belajar IPA; (3) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang berkompetensi sosial tinggi dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan pembelajaran langsung; dan (4) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang berkompetensi sosial rendah dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan pembelajaran langsung. Populasi yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMPN 5 Denpasar. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan tes kompetensi sosial, dan hasil belajar IPA. Data dianalisis dengan analisis varian (ANAVA) 2 jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang belajar dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan pembelajaran langsung (P:0,011 < 0,05 dan P:0,023 < 0,05); (2) ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kompetensi sosial terhadap hasil belajar IPA (P:0,004 < 0,05); (3) ada perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang berkompetensi sosial tinggi dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan pembelajaran langsung (P: 0,014 < 0,050); dan (4) ada perbedaan hasil belajar IPA antara siswa yang berkompetensi sosial rendah dengan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe GI dan pembelajaran langsung (P:0,007 < 0,050). Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan antara model pembelajaran dan kompetensi sosial memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar IPA.Kata Kunci : Group Investigation, Kompetensi Sosial, Hasil Belajar The aims of the study were (1) To find out the differences of students’ learning outcome in Natural Science between students who learn with GI type of cooperative Learning and those who use direct learning model; (2) To find out the interaction between learning model and students’ social competency; (3) To explore the differences of students’ learning outcome in Natural Science between students from high social competency with GI type of cooperative learning and direct learning model; and (4) To explore the differences of students’ learning outcome in Natural Science between students from low social competency with GI type of cooperative learning and direct learning model. All the seventh year students in State Junior High School 5 of Denpasar were selected as the population of this study. Non-equivalent pretest posttest control group design was used as design in this study. Result were gathered by using social competency, and learning outcome in Natural science. Result were analyzed by using variant Analysis (ANAVA) 2 track. The findings of the study showed (1) the differences of students’ learning outcome in Natural Science between students who learn with GI type of cooperative learning and those who learn with direct learning model (:P:0,011 < 0,05 and P:0,023 < 0,05); (2) the interaction between learning model social competency toward learning outcome in Natural Science (P:0,004 < 0,05); (3) the differences of students’ learning outcome in Natural Science between students from high social competency with GI type of cooperative learning and direct learning model (P: 0,014 < 0,050); and (4) the differences of students’ learning outcome in Natural Science between students from low social competency with GI type of cooperative learning and direct learning method (P:0,007 < 0,050). Based on the findings, it can be concluded that learning model and social competency have influences toward learning outcome in Natural Science.keyword : Group Investigation, Social Competency, Learning Outcome
